To The Western Australian Museum, and its Trustees and Advisory Committees:

As a respected public institution, we’re asking you to drop Woodside’s sponsorship.

 

Woodside’s increasing gas expansion cements its role as one of Australia’s worst climate polluters. 
By extending Woodside’s sponsorship for five more years, the Museum supports greenwashing from a company that causes more harm to our marine ecosystems than any other in Australia.

 

The decision damages the Museum’s integrity as a marine research organisation and betrays public trust.
 

The Museum’s agreement with Woodside coincides with WA’s worst-ever marine heatwave, causing extreme coral bleaching and marine death across thousands of kilometres.

 

Fossil-fuelled climate change is the greatest threat to our coral reefs and companies like Woodside are powering the crisis.
 

Sign your name to let the WA Museum know that Woodside should not be sponsoring them. Woodside are causing untold harm to the patrons of the museum and should not be allowed to appear philanthropic.​​​​​​​
